If so, a large Southend school with exceptional facilities has begun their search for a committed graduate to join the team as a Learning Support Assistant within their Early Years setting.

*** 1 Year Fixed Term, Full-Time position starting October 2017
*** Weekly CPD, a dedicated mentor and a possible School Direct placement from September 2018
*** GBP60-GBP70 daily pay rate, dependent on experience
*** EYFS experience essential for this Learning Support Assistant role, SEN experience preferred
*** Graduates with a degree of 2:1 or above and a solid academic record will be considered

The Learning Support Assistant Person Specification
To be considered for this role you must be a motivated graduate who has achieved a 2:1 or above in your degree and previous experience working with children, experience of supporting children who have special educational needs is also highly advantageous. The ideal candidate will have the skills to forge strong relationships quickly and be a naturally creative individual enabling you to easily adapt your style to suit different pupils needs. You will have a discernible passion for education and the drive to make a real impact to the outcomes of the most vulnerable.

About the Learning Support Assistant Role
This Learning Support Assistant role involves you supporting the work of the class teachers within the schools Early Years setting. Day-to-day, you will be working closely with the class teacher and leading groups and individual pupils in targeted intervention sessions. Alongside your class duties, you will have a significant amount of time to develop your own skills and the chance to observe lessons and preparation as preparation for your eventual career. You will be working under the supportive guidance of a dedicated mentor and should you aspire for a career in teaching School Direct placements are often made available for supporting staff who prove their talents.
