My client is a first class logistics company which has over 50 years of experience within the field offering its customers a complete logistics solution to all freight services including road, sea and air. The company is now expanding and looking for an operations assistant presenting the opportunity for an enthusiastic and forward thinking individual to join the team to continue the company's success alongside many opportunities to progress and grow your own career within the company.
You will be working with a vibrant, busy and motivated team in the company's office based in the Basildon area. Working appealing and sociable office hours of Monday-Friday 9 to 5:30pm with many other benefits included this is an opportunity not to be missed!
Your role is a mixture of administrative and co-ordination duties which will ensure no day is ever the same, duties of the position include;
Taking bookings from clients and ensuring that the bookings are logged and handled effectively to continue delivering the company's outstanding services, liaising with both customers and clients in a friendly and professional manner both over e-mail communication and via telephone, processing various shipments using multi-freight and pro-actively dealing with documentation, loading bills, certificate of entry and custom entries.
A proven track record of your brilliance is essential, you should be able to demonstrate fantastic co-ordination and administrative skills whilst delivering a great level of customer service at all times. If you have experience in sea and/or air freight, exports and/or imports or any general freight forwarding experience with a minimum of 6 months in the industry I am sure my client would love to hear about you!
