The role will work alongside the Partners and senior staff members, within a high performing team, reporting in to the Partners. This position based near Chatham will have responsibility for all client matters and a variation of compliance and reviewing work. It will be office based in a relaxed environment and will not require any travel to client premises. Client Details My client has a great reputation as a well respected local chartered accountancy practice based near Chatham. They provide a mixed service of accounts, tax and audit. They are looking for an office based candidate who will be responsible for a mix of accounts, tax and general practice services. Description The responsibilities of the Client Manager will include the preparation of accounts and tax returns for sole traders, partnerships, charities and limited companies. Due to the nature of our client base, the work is extremely varied. The role will also require the candidate to give advice to clients where appropriate on both business and tax matters subject to director review. Maintaining a productive relationship with clients in the portfolio, maintaining regular contact dealing with any specific queries or problems and assisting with/undertaking project work as required to meet agreed deadlines. Acting as a point of contact for clients ensuring that matters are dealt with in a timely manner. Completing more complex accounts work for clients. Undertaking ad-hoc project work as required. Identifying opportunities for obtaining new work with clients. Profile It is essential that you hold an appropriate qualification in either accounting (AAT/ACCA/ICAEW) or qualified by experience. Support for further qualification is available where appropriate. In addition to the technical skills you will possess strong administrative, time management, communication and interpersonal skills to ensure that clients receive a faultless and exemplary level of service at all times. This role would ultimately suit an individual who is driven, ambitious and who wants to develop their career and take responsibility for their own portfolio of clients whilst gaining considerable commercial experience.
