Internal Controls & Compliance Manager
Role: Central Finance: Internal Controls & Compliance Manager Location: Harlow Req: 99737BR The RSL Internal Controls & Compliance Manager works within the Central Finance organisation reporting directly into the RSL Financial Controller. The selected individual will be responsible for overall financial and business management support of the RSL Internal Control and Compliance program. This role is a key leadership position and will be viewed as the expert and primary point of contact around internal controls & governance within the business. This role requires the ability to work with initiative and be self-sufficient in supporting the business, whilst managing and developing a team of 1-2 analysts. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience of both the technical and commercial aspects of finance, with a strong ability to communicate and translate business financial issues to non-finance functions. Working as a trusted partner to the business, the Internal Control and Compliance Manager would possess excellent investigative, analytical and collaborative skills. Responsibilities include: Oversee the execution and management of the RSL Internal Control & Compliance Program Perform cross-functional reviews/audits on an as needed basis, approximately 5-10 per year Oversee regulatory compliance quarterly/annual certifications (UK/USA) Monitor & manage adherence to Raytheon Company Policy, Controls and Procedures Manage a team, while coordinating other finance teams to streamline reporting, drive efficiencies, and perform special projects Lead the Compliance Committee and Enterprise Risk Management process Present quarterly to RSL Executive Leadership team providing recommendations and communicating strategic level current issues and concerns Required skills: Comprehension and understanding of Key Financial Metrics and how each individual metric drives the business (ie. Bookings, Cash, Revenue, Profit) Exhibit leadership values from a task, ethical and business perspective with an ability to influence the business and function and drive best practice Demonstrated ability to identify and execute solutions to complex problems with minimal disruption to the business. Motivated and willing to go the extra mile to deliver, with an ability to motivate others to succeed. The confidence and courage to effectively lead, present, and participate in large and small meetings and status sessions, even when having to provide bad news or disagree with management. Demonstrated ability to lead in a fast paced environment that includes multiple working organizations (ie both financial and cross-functional). Advanced experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel. Proficient in SAP APEX, PRISM, and BW Desired skills: Ability to lead and manage others in a results oriented environment to develop solutions for complex problems that will gain desired outcomes Experience in multiple financial disciplines (Accounting, Business Manufacturing Management, EAC Development, Pricing, FP&A) Earned Value Management Experience is a plus CIMA Qualification/willingness to complete CIMA Required education/experience: Educated to Degree level or equivalent (Finance & Accounting disciplines preferred) Experience and responsibility in a field of business, finance or management About Raytheon: Raytheon UK is a subsidiary of Raytheon Company.
