Accountabilities Work with Marketing, Purchasing and Sales to maximise the potential from the portfolio of brands you manage. In our Gadgets & Technology Division we focus on successful management of our brand relationships to balance the execution of doing a great job for them whilst also meeting the customer requests within any category to avoid having too many skus, and give clear guide to our sales teams about our preferred products to sell to different sectors. Whilst managing your brands, highlight gaps in your range to your manager and the new brands team and liaise with all relevant parties to find appropriate new vendor opportunities. Once selected and agreed, ensure that new brands are launched effectively to capitalise on their full potential, meet vendor expectations and maximise sales opportunities. Alongside the sales and marketing teams, develop and deliver business plans for your brands, - then review the results in order to best influence future plans. The detail and quality of these plans for exclusive and higher yielding vendors is vital to our success with them. As product refreshes approach, ensure that you are working closely with the vendor, Inventory Team as well as sales and marketing teams to maximise end of life opportunities and limit the exposure for both the company and the brands. Deliver updates to pre-designed reporting formats from finance on 2 or 3 days per month to assist in business KPI tracking. Provide feedback to the business on improvement opportunities for this reporting structure. Job Content and Context To manage a set of brands as follows: Responsibility for Revenue, margin and Gross profit, including marketing income To work with the management team to create operational plans within your set category/brand set in order to meet & exceed the agreed performance objectives using all available recourses within Exertis Unlimited. Ensure communication of all relevant data relating to products, promotions & strategies is delivered to all appropriate stakeholders, both internally and externally. Creating and delivering individual targeted brand plans and are working with Exertis Unlimited' s sales and marketing teams on customer/marketing plans to produce the required level of business and meet the vendor/categorisation objectives. To create and ensure buy in from both the Internal and External sales teams to category/brand plans and monitor/adjust performance through the correct sales management conduits. Work with the management team to control SKU levels by only selecting SKUs from vendors that are optimal in Exertis Unlimited's sales channels and that differentiate from the rest of the product set where possible. Plan and implement the introduction of new products & the clearance of old ones. Investigate emerging markets and technologies and provide recommendations to the business for new vendors we should target to work with us. Work closely with the Divisional Director and Senior Business Manager to plan for new vendors including building initial stock orders, getting the first channel partners on board, launch marketing plans and promotions as well as advising which low performing/poor fit brands we should 'exit'. Build key relationships with category manager counterparts at key retailers to tangibly optimise sales opportunities. Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to drive the creation, delivery and execution of sales and marketing programs, including product launches, trade shows, channel development events, customer seminars, customer loyalty programs etc. Deliver updates to pre-designed reporting formats from finance on 2 or 3 days per month to assist in business KPI tracking. Take ownership within your own brand set, to include the following: o Represent Exertis Unlimited to brands and resellers in external meetings as required to Develop and Achieve agreed targets for GP, GP % and stock level. Motivate and support the sales teams within Exertis Unlimited to ensure your range of products wins their mindshare. To be your brands 'champion' inside Exertis Unlimited. To set and drive high service levels for the vendor that adds tangible value-added service. Assist Marketing in recruitment of vendors for participation in Exertis Unlimited promotions and events and attend to represent Exertis Unlimited as required Ensure that all Sales teams are kept informed of developments within your product range to Manage stock ensuring demand is met but limit over-stocking and aged stock situations o Assist sales with pricing information on Merlin and ensure that pricing is accurate Plan, control and maintain effective application of vendor marketing funds consistent with Exertis Unlimited objectives. Offer a first-class service to all internal customers in all territories across the business. Candidate Profile Proven successful product management / business management background ideally within CE market ? Demonstrable experience in Consumer Electronics (CE) field Demonstrate strong awareness of and commitment to Ethics and Compliance and the group business conduct guidelines Excellent numeric ability (including competency with MS Excel) Excellent written and oral communication skills. Self-motivated individual. Ambitious, target-driven individual with proven track record Knowledge of E Commerce, Retail or Telco market Strong influencing skills. Desirable: Sound commercial background experience in managing product/vendor contract negotiations. Experience in managing pricing/forecast/stock supply from US/Asia regions for consumer electronics. Proven track record of building plans for CE or IT vendors ideally with marketing being a key element of this. ?
