Job Title: Head of Finance Location: Head Office, Rochester. Kent Salary: £40K pro rata, company pension scheme Term: Permanent, Part time 25 hours per week (over 3-5 days to be agreed) Holiday: 28 days per year including Bank Holidays, pro rata. Rising with length of service Our client manufactures & distributes power, monitoring & control products and systems for marine, vehicle, off grid & commercial applications. Their customers include Sunseeker, Fairline, BBC, Vodafone and many others looking for innovative power solutions. This position provides financial management for the businesses and ensures the businesses compile with their statutory financial responsibilities as well as protecting and progressing the company's growth in UK and International markets. Job Role: - Manage all aspects of the accounts function and review accounting procedures and make changes to improve efficiency and control costs. - Preparation and monitoring of annual budget together with the management team. - Preparation of monthly management accounts and analysis of results for management team, together with the development of key performance indicators. Monitoring of results against budget. - Preparation of cashflow forecasts and management of cashflow on a day to day basis, including liaising with key customers with regard to payment. - Analysis costings and profitability of various areas of the business. - Liaise with other members of staff over the management and procedures on the MRP software system with regard to the accounting functions generated by the system. - Preparation of monthly payroll and ensure compliance with all matters relating to payroll including pensions. - Assist with HR issues - Preparation of VAT returns, Intrastat Returns , P11Ds - Annual Return of Expenses and Benefits and liaise with HMRC. - Liaise with accountants on preparation of the statutory accounts and general tax matters as required. - Liaise with accountants on preparation of the statutory accounts and general tax matters as required. - Liaise with bank and invoice discounters on general management of the facilities and preparation of forecasts as required. Provision of abbreviated management accounts to bank on a timely basis. - Preparation of financial information for grant applications and others as required. - Ensuring ongoing training of accounts staff. - Attend board and senior management meetings The Candidate: The ideal candidate will have thorough experience of working in a manufacturing environment and be looking to drive their career forward with small, innovative businesses. Qualifications: - Formal accountancy qualification or qualification by experience - Degree - On-going skills training as appropriate - Ideally experienced in a manufacturing business environment - Minimum of 5 years senior management experience Skills: - Broad computer skills - Presentation skills - Experience with SAGE - Multi currency experience Experience: - Working with senior management across a range of departments - Up to date with latest accounts packages - Confident liaising with external agencies Please click the APPLY button to send your CV and Cover Letter for this role.
