Our client is a leading day and boarding independent school based in a stunning village campus in North Essex. Founded in 1564 by Richard Lord Riche, who had been a Lord Chancellor under King Edward VI, our client today provides an exceptional holistic education to approximately 1100 boys and girls aged four to eighteen. They celebrated their 450th anniversary in 2014, one of only a handful of Schools in the country that have claimed this historic milestone. They employ more than 160 teachers and 440 operational staff in a community orientated environment, ensuring their pupils receive the very best in learning and co-curricular activities.

They are seeking a well organised, customer focussed, professional individual to join the Catering team to oversee special functions at the School. You will need to enjoy managing staff and events and be willing to work evenings and weekends. Whilst this is a casual role, they hold regular functions and anticipate hours to be in the region of an average of 12 per week.

Experience of catering and bar management is desirable, along with knowledge of relevant legislation and its practical application.

A full job description can be found within the 'job description' attached.

The role is a casual position working as and when needed for School events and functions. The rate of pay is up to £15.00 per hour depending on skills and experience.

They are rated 'Excellent in every aspect' by the Independent Schools Inspectorate.
