An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Part Time Credit Controller to join Direct Seafoods Colchester.

Direct Seafoods Colchester is currently looking for a part-time Credit Controller to assist with day to day reconciliation of accounts through collection of customer debt using telephone and written communication. The successful candidate will be responsible for raising credit notes & cash allocations. As this role involves dealing with customers directly, it is essential that you are able to demonstrate assured and professional communication on all levels.

The role will rely heavily on cash allocation, raising credits production and distribution and debt collection were needed. You must also be able to answer customer’s queries and provide copy POD’s when required.

On occasion, you will be required to run credit checks, set and close customer accounts as well as weekly or monthly statements in the event of holiday cover.

An ideal Credit Controller will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a busy credit control / finance environment
  • Excellent analytical skills and focus
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel with accurate typing skills to facilitate prompt and accurate data entry (a computer test will be required prior to offer
  • Ability to allocate incoming payments accurately
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Must be highly organised with effective time management skills
  • Excellent numeracy skills are essential
  • Experience of using SAP

Your working hours will be Monday - Friday, 9 am - 1 pm. Flexible hours to cover holiday (with advance notice) and will include one full day at month-end (last working day of the month 8 am - 4 pm).

In return for this you will receive a salary of £8,500 dependent upon experience plus 28 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays).
