Manager, Science Alive (part-time)
Manager doesn't really do justice to the job or the possibilities here...
We are looking for an outstanding, hard-working, well-organised and imaginative individual to lead the further development and delivery of our unique community learning project, which includes provision at two extraordinary visitor venues.
The role will involve leading a very small team of staff and volunteers to provide outstanding experiences for public visitors and education groups - a background in education or an interest in presentation, design or drama could be very useful here.
The Time Machine gallery is a state of the art hands-on centre which was set up to inspire creativity for young engineers, designers and talented people of all ages.
Harlow Museum is a local heritage centre set in buildings which offer an oasis of tranquility surrounded by beautiful walled gardens.
We also offer outreach work with schools and other groups.
In the last ten years Science Alive has some outstanding achievements to look back on:
- 150,000 people involved in our activities
- £1m secured in fundraising
- State of the art building and project development at The Time Machine gallery
- Harlow Museum and Walled Gardens community service provision
In the next ten years….!
We are offering the right person an extraordinary project to build on and an amazing chance for a creative, well-organised, entrepreneurial individual to help us achieve even more!
