RT Social Care was established in 2008 and is a specialist recruitment division committed to the Social Care sector. Since our inception we have grown from strength to strength supplying Social Workers, Managers and Senior Leaders across the spectrum of Adult, Children, Mental Health and Disability services.

Due to our continued expansion within the Social Care sector we are seeking a driven and competent Recruitment Consultant to further drive, develop and grow our Permanent Recruitment offering.

The role:

As the Recruitment Consultant specialising in Permanent Placements, you will work closely with the RT Directors to develop and deliver the perm recruitment strategy; taking the lead in shaping, expanding and delivering the existing permanent approach.

Your responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Directors, you will work as part of a dynamic Recruitment team ultimately building your own business unit within the Recruitment Division, with the responsibility of prospecting and account-managing a number of key accounts. 
  • Use sales, business development, marketing and networking techniques in order to obtain permanent recruitment requirements from clients within Local Authorities, the NHS, Charities and Private Sectors
  • Work towards targets that relate to the number of candidates placed and placement fees billed per month/year.
  • Build relationships with clients to offer permanent sourcing solutions.
  • Develop a good understanding of clients, their teams, what they do and their work culture and environment.
  • Advertise positions appropriately by drafting and placing adverts in a wide range of media, e.g. websites, Job Boards, social media
  • Headhunting - identifying and approaching suitable candidates.
  • Utilise the candidate databases to source suitable candidates for client vacancies
  • Receive and review applications, manage interviews and create a
    shortlist of candidates;
  • Brief candidates about the role, responsibilities, salary and benefits of the job.
  • Prepare CVs and correspondence to forward to clients in respect of suitable applicants;
  • Organise interviews for candidates as requested by the client;
  • Inform candidates about the results of their interview;
  • Negotiate salaries, packages and finalise arrangements between the client and candidate;
  • Offer advice to both clients and candidates on salaries, packages, training and career progression;
  • Review recruitment policies to ensure effectiveness of selection techniques and recruitment programmes.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Proven track record in managing a permanent recruitment desk
  • Preferably Recruitment experience within Social Care or a similar sector
  • Hands-on recruitment experience in a target led environment.
  • Experience of recruiting, mentoring and training staff
  • A strong customer service focus in everything they do.
  • Experience of driving new business and increasing sales  
  • Be aware of HR issues and processes

You will receive:

Basic Salary up to 25K (dependant on experience)

Commission based on personal billing
